#1334 Best veterinarian school in Bangkok Thailand

Posted by zachary on 27 August 2015 - 07:01 PM

I'm wondering what is the very BEST veterinarian school (university, college, etc) in Thailand, specifically Bangkok (hopefully).

I've heard that Kasetsart University with the Kaset Animal Hospital is the best. I guess it's their Bangkhen campus and their programs they have are "faculty veterinary technology and medicine". Anyone beg to differ?

Their hospital website is: http://kah.kasetanimalhospital.com

The Kasetsart Uni site is: http://www.ku.ac.th (they have English version)

But they do have this website: http://vet.ku.ac.th/vetenglish/ Which is more like a guide (i think) for people going the vet route in university.

Oh, and the worst part of the question, do they have somewhere can get a degree in Veterinary education, in ENGLISH?

:D

I found out that all of us in Bangkok will soon get to enjoy this wonderful looking mall and atmosphere that is coming soon to the Vacharapol Road area, (also spelled Wacharapol). So it's out past the Raminthra area of Bangkok.

Website is: http://www.venicediiris.com/

I've attached some pics that are supposed to be simulated pics of what it will look like....

#1303 Tourist-boosting 6 month visa with multiple entries coming soon

Posted by onerom on 11 August 2015 - 04:06 AM

Has anyone seen this? Supposedly there is a plan to have 6 month tourist visas with multiple entries, tourist-boosting visa, to help Thailand tourism grow.

The Tourism and Sports Ministry and tourism operators have hailed the approval of multiple-entry visas effective for six months as a measure that will help to attractmore tourists to the country.

The ministerial regulation under the Immigration Act of 1979, approved by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday, will allow tourists to get a visa enabling them to make multiple entries into Thailand during a six-month period

The multiple-entry visa will cost 5,000 baht, while a visa for a single entry will be 1,000 baht.

More at the Bangkokpost article here.

#68 Went to Tarad Rodfi Train Night Market last night

Posted by zachary on 11 May 2014 - 11:18 AM

Last night I went to the Tarad Rodfi Train Night Market (aka Talaad Rod Fai, talad rot fai) in Sri Nakarin (Sri Nagarindra) near to Seacon Square and Paradise mall.

It was pretty awesome. Tons of shops lined with clothes and kanoms (snacks). Lots of desserts and also many little hip bars with live bands. We chose to hangout at "About Time Bar", pretty cool little place, with lots of antique type feel. Live band was good. They have food and lots of beer choice too.

Here are some pictures of the Tarad Rodfi market that I took......

#53 Finally found a gym open 24 hours in BANGKOK!

Posted by zachary on 05 May 2014 - 05:07 PM

Hey guys, after searching for a long time, I have finally found a fitness/gym that is open 24 hours in BANGKOK CITY!

It's in Ratchada soi 7, it's called "Fitness 7". I think it really deserves good recognition because it's a great gym with an affordable price.

1200 per month. The gym is pretty huge. Half is aircon'd, the other half is not (the non aircon side is actually a bit bigger)

I will get some pictures and post them very soon, along with full address and information.

Anyone know of anymore good gyms open 24 hours in BKK?

My girlfriend is from Vietnam and going to Bangkok soon to have her eyelids get some plastic surgery done. I think she wants to make her eyes appear to look more rounded or big. Anyone know what are the biggest, best, most famous plastic surgery hospitals in Bangkok?

I've was there earlier this year but was on different plans than surgery tripping lol. Thank you

Anyone heard of Matcha green tea? It's some tea from Japan.
My mom has requested I bring some back to the states for her. Anyone know where to find in Bangkok?

I've been through Carrefour and Big C so far and have not seen anything mentioning "Matcha" yet. Still looking, maybe Tops, Villa Market, Food Land?

Thanks

#311 US Citizen applying for Thai tourist visa in Manila

Posted by zachary on 13 October 2014 - 05:35 AM

Hey everyone, Google failed me to show exact information on how to apply for a Thai tourist visa as a US Citizen in Manila. So i am going through the motions and here is all the information you need.

As said in this thread:

The address to the Royal Thai Embassy in Manila is:

Royal Thai Embassy

107 Thailand (Rada) Street, Legaspi Village

Makati City, Metro Manila, The Philippines

Tel. (632) 815-4219-20 (but the number that got me through best was 02-815-3833)

Fax. (632) 815-4221

Link: http://www.thaiembas...nsular-services

They only take applications on Monday - Friday from 9:30am til 12noon

You need to have.

1. your passport

2. 2 passport size pictures

3. your tourist visa application

4. your hotel print out. If you are staying with friend/gf/family then you need an invitation letter from that person, with their thai government issued id card or passport and signature. (look below for example of an invitation letter)

5. your flight to Thailand and out of Thailand.

6. bank statement showing at least 20k baht or more

7. 1450 pesos for single entry tourist visa application fee

Here is an example of an invitation letter: (it must be made out towards "Royal Thai Embassy Manila", must have persons name and signature whoever is "inviting" you, and the address that you'll be staying)

Dear Thai Embassy Manila,
This letter is to support the request for a tourist visa for my boyfriend Mr. YOUR NAME.

He will be staying with me at my condominium at :
(put the address here)

Yours Sincerely,

YOUR INVITERS NAME
YOUR INVITERS SIGNATURE

They said I can pickup my passport in 2 days.

I will post here if I was approved or not :) Wish me luck!

I applied today

#1374 Thai-American basketball player!!! Any others??

Posted by whatsupbro123 on 22 September 2015 - 08:32 AM

So I am a pretty avid basketball fan and have been following the Thai Basketball League here pretty closely and found out there is a Thai-American basketball player named Ken Opamuratawongse. From other locals I understand that he just finished high school in the United States and was playing in the basketball league here. I think he is pretty good but am wondering how come the national team has not taken players like this?

Here are his highlights:  https://www.youtube....h?v=MT5tL-ep6Tc

This guy seems to be a bully and has a pretty hot girlfriend. He's known as "The Siam Gangster". Anyone heard about this? Look at these youtube videos and his facebook. Seems a bit arrogant and nuts. His name is Ratjai Bundidsilp aka Nick Wasana aka Jo Joeynick.

He was sentenced to about a year in Thai jail for his insults and bullying of women and children.

Look at the video of him going apeshit here: http://www.bangkokpo...e-siam-gangster
