I live in a condo complex in Bangkok. I usually let my 2 cats lay and roll around in the hallway, they always love to go out there and relax. Well yesterday November 2nd, I allowed them to go out for a while, maybe 10 minutes went by, and I seen one of my cats come in, realized the other one did not. So I go out and check, didn't see her.

So I came back and put on shoes, clothes, etc, and walked around, to every level (8 levels in my building) to every corner. Then I realized, she's not in this building. Somebody must have left the security doors open. So then I panicked, and realized she must be outside, these are NOT outside cats, they sleep in my bed with me every night, and are cared for by me or my gf always. Loved to the max!

I began walking around asking security gaurds at my condo, thinking someone would notice a huge big fat black cat (compared to the normal Thailand street cats are quite a bit skinnier). The gaurds were helping me search, and she was nowhere to be found in my huge condo complex (it's pretty big, 2 pools, maybe 8 buildings etc) we're looking under cars in every area. Finally convinced she's not anywhere in my condo complex, i went out, through every soi, every alley, asking any shop owners, or bar owners, or even any passer by peoples if they seen her. Showing pic, and describing her. Many nice people even took my number and said they'd call me if they seen her. (no calls came in)

As I was walking around for more than 8 hours, not found her (but sad enough did see 100's of little hungry soi dogs and cats). Finally my gf called me saying she posted on fb, and also found some girl posted on her facebook about how she found a big black cat in an underpass under Huay Kwang, but she was now in Suttisan, so I motorcycled there asap and they did have my cat (Blacky), it was her, she was beat up, her feet and hands were worn down to the point of being bloody, her nails were missing or down to just nubs, and she had various other scratches and cuts.

Today took her to the vet and they applied bandages and gave antibiotics and she is on the road to recovery.

This went from the worst day of my life, losing a beloved animal, cat, child, etc (these cats are like my children, i love them so much) to becoming the best feeling, not only that our Blacky was found, but the people that found her took care of her, made an effort of going to the vet asking if they knew the owner of her, and posting on facebook, etc, then coming to meet me and give her to me.

To you people out there, I can never thank you enough, from the bottom of my heart, I LOVE WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! Reuniting our cat back to me and my gf, I can't imagine living the rest of my life never knowing what kind of life she would have endured.

There are great people in the world, you guys in Suttisan, THANK YOU! (and thanks to my gf and her sister too, they were also posting about lost cat everywhere online)

Blacky is recovering now, difficult walking, but the doc said she should be able to recover 100% :)

Thanks to you!

Well that story just made my day :)

I love to hear a good ending to a potentially devestating outcome. Congrats to you, and to your Blacky!

Another one for you guys....

About 2 years ago my good friend in USA told me about how their backyard gate was left open and their Pomeranian got out, they haven't seen him for 2 years!!!

While i was home during this recent Christmas, they ended up finding his photo on an animal rescue site, went and picked him up and re-united together again after 2 YEARS!!!!! Crazy, so so so lucky!

I wish all these types could turn out as lucky and successful.
