I'm just curious, as I'm sitting here watching bitcoinity website and seeing that bitcoins are on the rise again, does anyone here in Thailand, Bangkok are into bitcoins?

I really love the concept behind it, the fact you can send "value" to anywhere in the world so quickly, and FREE!

Just curious if anyone here owns them, or what is your opinion on them in general?

I've seen lots of nasty threads about opinionated bitcoin people, on each side of the fight, lets try to keep this fresh, fun and non violent hehe smile.png

Edit: btw BX.IN.TH (BX is closing) & coins.co.th best exchanges for us ppls in Thailand. New one is Satang Pro (previously named TDAX, Thai Digital Asset Exchange)

I love bitcoins. Last week I bought a few bitcoins from Coinbase

Love to see the price rising. I hope the Winklevoss Twins, and Virgin Atlantic dude are right about these things! Really are awesome!

Holy shit, almost reached $700 a few days ago!!!!

Also I see threads on some forums and Craigslist where people are selling homes, websites, cars, and many things, and are only selling, accepting only bitcoins. That shows this thing really might be a thing of the future, these people actually don't want cash, they only want bitcoins!!!

My grandson in U.S. told me the U.S. Federal Government auctioned off 30,000 of these bitcoin things.

Anyone know if this is true? That must have been a huge transaction!!!

I read about this recently too. It's true! Coindesk covers the story: http://www.coindesk....itcoin-auction/

It's actually the US Marshals who auctioned off all those bitcoins, supposedly to just 1 buyer! BIG MONEY! balla balla! hehe

Anyone heard about this fire of a million dollar bitcoin mining rig? http://gizmodo.com/a...tion-1655981855

Looks like some expats lost quite a lot with it. (unless of course they weren't making anything, and had some kind of insurance, and had an "accident"?) hehe
