Anyone know if there are any 24hr transportation services from Bangkok to Pattaya? Preferably a bus or van. I know Taxi's can, but I'm trying to quit paying 1200-1500 for 1-way to/from Pattaya from Bangkok.

Any info would be very helpful. Thanks ya'll :)

Which city would be the best to stay in? I'd like to cut down on the trips from one city to another. If you had to chose, which city would be your "base"?

Well, you'll arrive in BKK, if you want party, go to Phuket/Pattaya, .... if you want chill chill, maybe go Samui/ Chiang Rai / Chiang Mai / Hua Hin.... if you want big city life, stay BKK you'll spend half your time on subway, skytrain, or taxi (in traffic) lol

Thanks for the info. Wish I had known that before I reserved my hotel. Hotel is in Bangkok, but I definitely want to go to Phuket and Pattaya.

Well BKK is a great spot to make your "base" though imo, remember, only 1hr flight to Phuket or 2hr taxi/bus to Pattaya :) So travel around is very quick and easy :)

Let us know what you do and what you think of those things please, i'm curious which places you'll hitup, and things you'll do.

This your 1st trip to Thailand?

Hey Boricua, all 3 of those places, Bangkok, Phuket & Pattaya are badass in almost all areas imo, so you'll probably enjoy no matter what (only difference is BKK no beach, but noprob for us that dont really care much if have beach or not ;) )

Sweet! I thought I had made a mistake by paying for the hotel in advance. I don't really care about the beach. I live one block from the beach here and I haven't been there in months ;)

Thanks guys for the info. Whenever I'm in Thailand I only ride Taxis and never tried bus and van, probably my next trip to Thailand I will surely try riding on them.

You should try the tuk tuk and motorcycles too :) (i like the motocy's they are the quickest to get around with. But for long haul like BKK to HuaHin/Pattaya/Rayong etc better take the bus, so cheap and good quality.

I actually want to try tuk tuk too but I'm kinda hesitant all the time and I don't feel comfortable since the 1st time I went to Thailand I'm alone. Planning to go to Bangkok at the last quarter of this year with my family and we will definitely try tuk tuk.

Ya tuktuks are definitely fun sometimes, but in busy areas you have to haggle prices which sucks, and if you dont know the language a lot of times they'll try to triple the price on you, so have to be careful.

I took a Tuk Tuk once while I was in Bangkok. Man, that thing vibrated the fillings out of my teeth, Hahahaha.....

It's ok if you can stand the exhaust from the cars all around you.

Btw, coming back from Pattaya few days ago, my friend called up PT Taxi Service, was 1100 baht and they pick you up at your spot and deliver you to your destination. -> http://www.pttaxiservice.com

They rocked and i'll probably be calling them for all my Pattaya/BKK travels from now on :)

EDIT: Just talked to them via email, they said yes, they are available 24hrs/day wow!!!!
