I booked my flight to go Vietnam today... and went to Vietnam-Visa to submit my Vietnam tourist application, and i get prompted with this:

Notice: One year multiple entry Vietnam visa for US citizens

According to the bilateral agreement between United States of America and Vietnam, Vietnam Immigration Department ONLY issues 01 year multiple entry Vietnam visa (maximum 90 days stay/entry for Tourist Visa) for US citizens and they would pay US $135 stamping fee at Vietnam Airport. Please click “PREVIOUS STEP” to select "1 year multiple (United States only)" as type of visa.

So from what this says, as US citizen we can only get 1 year multiple entry visas for Vietnam, for $170 ($35+135). No more 1 month tourist visas are available (those were only $21). This is great for those of us going to Vietnam often. But it's bullshit for those going only couple times per year, or less.

Either way, i'll be going, and I'm a lil pissed have to pay now $170 in visa fees, $35 to Vietnam-Visa for application, and then have to pay another $135 on arrival to Saigon, FUCKK! WTF!

Mann to be honest, living in Asia i still haven't saved much. Many in US think "live like a king" here, but for that style of living really costs a ton!

But.......

lets make it rain anyways..........

btw, it's confirmed, i was there last week and as US citizen yes did have to pay $135 usd. Dont forget some of you, if flying from Don Mueng airport, there are NO ATM MACHINES at Don Mueng airport terminal areas. (after immigration, no ATM machines available), how fucked is that? lol

I arrived Ho Chi Minh, and had to get escorted outside to get Vietnamese money from ATM to pay, it was 3.2 million dong.
