Last week entering Bangkok Suvarnabhumi airport, at immigration they had questions about my passport, called over a supervisor who took me to an interview table, asking questions:

where you stay in Thailand? I stay in hotel sometimes (showed Agoda prints), and afterwards with my girlfriend (can call confirm if need)

... she didnt believe my hotel bookings, she tried calling, and was getting the "dial 1 for this, etc etc" and got impatient so she hungup

do you work in Thailand? how you have money? I work US company, from internet

... she then replied "no no, you working here, you lie sure... " so I suggested showing my bank statements and asking what else does she want for proof that i dont work, she just nodded her head like "no no" in disbelief.

how much money do you have? let me see. - I counted out about $1000 usd, 14,000 thai baht, and 25,000 philippines pesos (they have a 20k baht requirement, or equivilent to that)

Finally after waiting about 45min, she came back and gave my passport to 3 immigration police, they escorted me to a "thai transit immigration" office in the basement.

here i waited for about 2 hours, while all the officers are watching tv, joking, talking, finally I had to interrupt them and asked politely "can you please tell me why i'm here? and what's going on?"

the nice immigration man said the woman was required to tell me, which she did not. This office they were doing passport paperworks, filling out the forms, stamps etc. And he still didnt tell me why i'm there.

So they want to take me to a detention center, like a prison cell with criminals and other detainees. I said it's unacceptable. A room with locks, smells like shit, dirty. So another person suggested I can stay the Suvarnabhumi hotel place, but that was going to cost 1000 baht per hour, expensive but anything better than the detention center.

So still holding my passport, i had to stay the hotel for about 16 hours until my deportation (actually called "inadmissable") flight back to Manila.

.. hold on, tired of typing, will finish soon lol

Btw, i have heard we can appeal those kind of decisions, I was denied for "not enough means to enter the kingdom", which means I don't have financial means to be a tourist here, even though I provided a lot more than the required amount needed.

If anyone has any experience with appearling please let me know.

Sounds like a horrible experience. Do you have any way around this?
