#1352 Which is your grocery of choice in Thailand?

Posted by zachary on 07 September 2015 - 10:04 AM

I'm looking for which grocery stores have the best online shopping choices in Bangkok. Usually i do my shopping at Big C, sometimes to Tops Market & Villa Market, and rarely to Tesco and Foodland... BigC, Tops & Tesco definitely have the best online shopping setups.

I'm curious, which do you prefer, and why?

Big C - http://www.bigc.co.th - get their delivery at HonestBee.co.th

Tesco Lotus - http://shoponline.te...otus.com/en-GB/

Tops Market - http://www.tops.co.th/en/market/

Villa Market - http://www.villamarket.com - get their delivery at HonestBee.co.th

#53 Finally found a gym open 24 hours in BANGKOK!

Posted by zachary on 05 May 2014 - 05:07 PM

Hey guys, after searching for a long time, I have finally found a fitness/gym that is open 24 hours in BANGKOK CITY!

It's in Ratchada soi 7, it's called "Fitness 7". I think it really deserves good recognition because it's a great gym with an affordable price.

1200 per month. The gym is pretty huge. Half is aircon'd, the other half is not (the non aircon side is actually a bit bigger)

I will get some pictures and post them very soon, along with full address and information.

Anyone know of anymore good gyms open 24 hours in BKK?

#1334 Best veterinarian school in Bangkok Thailand

Posted by zachary on 27 August 2015 - 07:01 PM

I'm wondering what is the very BEST veterinarian school (university, college, etc) in Thailand, specifically Bangkok (hopefully).

I've heard that Kasetsart University with the Kaset Animal Hospital is the best. I guess it's their Bangkhen campus and their programs they have are "faculty veterinary technology and medicine". Anyone beg to differ?

Their hospital website is: http://kah.kasetanimalhospital.com

The Kasetsart Uni site is: http://www.ku.ac.th (they have English version)

But they do have this website: http://vet.ku.ac.th/vetenglish/ Which is more like a guide (i think) for people going the vet route in university.

Oh, and the worst part of the question, do they have somewhere can get a degree in Veterinary education, in ENGLISH?

:D

#1303 Tourist-boosting 6 month visa with multiple entries coming soon

Posted by onerom on 11 August 2015 - 04:06 AM

Has anyone seen this? Supposedly there is a plan to have 6 month tourist visas with multiple entries, tourist-boosting visa, to help Thailand tourism grow.

The Tourism and Sports Ministry and tourism operators have hailed the approval of multiple-entry visas effective for six months as a measure that will help to attractmore tourists to the country.

The ministerial regulation under the Immigration Act of 1979, approved by Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Tuesday, will allow tourists to get a visa enabling them to make multiple entries into Thailand during a six-month period

The multiple-entry visa will cost 5,000 baht, while a visa for a single entry will be 1,000 baht.

More at the Bangkokpost article here.

Website is: http://www.venicediiris.com/

I've attached some pics that are supposed to be simulated pics of what it will look like....

#112 Bitcoins in Bangkok?

Posted by zachary on 25 May 2014 - 08:34 PM

I'm just curious, as I'm sitting here watching bitcoinity website and seeing that bitcoins are on the rise again, does anyone here in Thailand, Bangkok are into bitcoins?

I really love the concept behind it, the fact you can send "value" to anywhere in the world so quickly, and FREE!

Just curious if anyone here owns them, or what is your opinion on them in general?

I've seen lots of nasty threads about opinionated bitcoin people, on each side of the fight, lets try to keep this fresh, fun and non violent hehe smile.png

Edit: btw BX.IN.TH (BX is closing) & coins.co.th best exchanges for us ppls in Thailand. New one is Satang Pro (previously named TDAX, Thai Digital Asset Exchange)

#68 Went to Tarad Rodfi Train Night Market last night

Posted by zachary on 11 May 2014 - 11:18 AM

Last night I went to the Tarad Rodfi Train Night Market (aka Talaad Rod Fai, talad rot fai) in Sri Nakarin (Sri Nagarindra) near to Seacon Square and Paradise mall.

It was pretty awesome. Tons of shops lined with clothes and kanoms (snacks). Lots of desserts and also many little hip bars with live bands. We chose to hangout at "About Time Bar", pretty cool little place, with lots of antique type feel. Live band was good. They have food and lots of beer choice too.

Here are some pictures of the Tarad Rodfi market that I took......

#349 Best place for plastic surgery in Bangkok?

Posted by kimmynyc on 11 November 2014 - 02:30 PM

My girlfriend is from Vietnam and going to Bangkok soon to have her eyelids get some plastic surgery done. I think she wants to make her eyes appear to look more rounded or big. Anyone know what are the biggest, best, most famous plastic surgery hospitals in Bangkok?

I've was there earlier this year but was on different plans than surgery tripping lol. Thank you

Anyone heard of Matcha green tea? It's some tea from Japan.
My mom has requested I bring some back to the states for her. Anyone know where to find in Bangkok?

I've been through Carrefour and Big C so far and have not seen anything mentioning "Matcha" yet. Still looking, maybe Tops, Villa Market, Food Land?

Thanks

#194 Asian dating sites? Your experiences?

Posted by zachary on 27 July 2014 - 07:18 PM

The best by far is Thai Friendly, I met my gf from there actually :) It's clean, fast and the owner actually cares to make his site the best, and to always improve, every day.

Thai Love Links was the biggest for the longest times (until TF came along) but I could never stand being on that site for more than a few minutes. Too cluttery or something. I do think they have a huge user base though, since they are the oldest around (I think).

Good luck man, oh, and that sucks you got screwed on that GoodThaiGirl bs site, that site needs a makeover bigtime! yuck!
